The Department of Community Health and Family Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville, seeks MD/DO, BC/BE family medicine physician to join at the tenure/non-tenure accruing level of Assistant/Associate Professor and will serve as Medical Director assigned to a community - based family medicine office at UF Health Family Medicine - St. Marys Clinic in Georgia.Major responsibilities include outpatient care, with opportunity for teaching and research, and administrative duties associated with management of clinical practice and supervision of junior physician or non-physician. Candidates must be MD/DO, have a Georgia Medical License and Board Certified or Board Eligible as a family medicine physician. This position is up to full time and will report to the Chair of the department at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville. Base salary is guaranteed, with significant additional productivity incentives and strong benefits package. Maybe eligible for government student loan repayment. The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville is the largest of the three UF colleges - medicine, nursing and pharmacy - located on the approximately 110-acre UF Health Jacksonville campus. The college's 15 clinical science departments house more than 400 faculty members and 300 residents and fellows. In addition to graduate medical education, clinical rotations in all the major disciplines are provided for students from the UF College of Medicine in Gainesville.With more than 5,000 faculty and staff, the academic health center in Jacksonville is the largest UF campus outside of Gainesville, offering nearly 100 specialty services, including: Cancer services; Cardiovascular; Neuroscience; Orthopaedic; Pediatrics; Poison Center; Trauma and Critical Care; and Women and Families services. At 37 clinical sites throughout Northeast Florida, UF physicians tally more than 600,000 outpatient visits and more than 34,000 inpatient admissions annually. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
